History of the Yellowstone National Park

The park takes its name from the Yellowstone river, the park being located at the headwaters of this river. After his visit at the Yellowstone National Park he came back with a detailed report and with a lot of photographs and paintings. This has helped convince the U. S. Congress to take that area out of public auction. The following thing that was made on March 1, 1872 was for president Ulysses S. Grant to sign an act called "The Act of Dedication" through which the Yellowstone National Park was created.
