USA has 59 areas protected by law which are considered as national parks. Each one has natural beauties that could put it on the list of top 10 national parks. What are considered to be the most beautiful national parks in the USA is not easy to determine. Here is what people have said and a possible categorization of parks.



1. Yellowstone National Park


By far the most appreciated park in the USA is the Yellowstone National Park. It very well deserves to be included in the top 10 national parks list. With it's Old Faithful Geyser the park has a large collection of lakes, canyons, rivers and mountain of immense beauty. The park is great for being visited all year long having attractions for each season.

2. Everglades National Park


The second on the list of the top 10 national parks  is the Everglades National Park. It is considered to be the largest tropical area in the US. It has been created in the beginning to protect the ecosystem that was there, being the home of 36 species endangered with extinction. The best time to go there is from December to March because there are not so many mosquitoes.

3. Grand Canyon

The Grand Canyon National Park is our number 3 choice, carved out by the Colorado River, is 277 miles  in length and  up to 1 mile deep, and up to 15 miles wide. During millions of years it has formed colorful layers of the Colorado Plateau making of it one of the greatest spectacles our eyes will ever see.

4. Denali National Park

Being situated on the range of the Mount McKinley, the tallest mountain in Northern States, Denali National Park is serviced by a single road leading to the beautiful Wonder Lake. McKinley and other peaks of the Alaska Range are covered with long glaciers and great extraordinary forests. Wildlife includes grizzly bears,  sheep, caribou, and  wolves.

5. Bryce Canyon National Park

Bryce Canyon in Utah stands as representative with its vibrant red rock structures and spires which reach an height of 2,000 feet.
